Association Officers

Chelsea Hagman

PRESIDENT

Hello! My name is Chelsea Hagman and I am honored to be serving as President for another year. Kappa has given me so much throughout the years; friendship, confidence, an opportunity to serve my community and connect with women of all generations. I graduated from the Delta Eta Chapter at the U of U with my pledge class of 2007. During my time in college, I served as the Panhellenic Delegate, Marshall and VP Organizations. I am currently a stay at home mom of two kiddos named Charlotte and Carston. I also teach and volunteer online and am currently learning Spanish, running a real estate investment business with my husband, and serving on the PTA at my daughters' school. I loved the opportunity to serve as Vice President of SLCAA and secretary and philanthropy chair of Wasatch Mountains Alumnae Association. I love that we support NAMI, The Kappa Foundation and the help the Delta Eta Chapter with recruitment and initiation. I am so passionate about kappa and promoting philanthropy and leadership in my community.

Taylor Ostmark Beidler

VICE PRESIDENT

I joined the Delta Eta Chapter in 2016, and throughout my active years, I served as Membership Chairman ('18) and Chapter President ('19). Attending the Kappa National Convention ('18) and the Kappa Leadership Conference ('19) were incredible privileges. I was honored to be part of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation's Advisory Board, focusing on mental health in collegiate women during 2020.

As an alum, I've been grateful for the chance to stay involved, and have served as the SLCAA Brunch Bunch Chair ('21) and currently as Vice President. Additionally, I feel truly privileged to hold my current national role as the Eta District Programming Specialist, where I oversee nine chapters and collaborate with officers in the Member Development Department.

I graduated with degrees in Health Communication and Business Administration from the University of Utah in Spring 2021, and more recently earned a Master's Degree in Strategic Communication. Working as a Senior Project Manager for the Huntsman Mental Health Institute at UHealth has been a humbling experience, contributing to a cause I deeply care about.

Olivia Fischer

TREASURER

My name is Olivia Fischer and I am the current SLCAA Treasurer. I attended the University of Utah and joined the Delta Eta Chapter in the Fall of 2017. In May of 2021, I got a degree in Family, Community, and Human Development with a minor in Special Education. I currently work as a full-time nanny for a family of 4 kids in Holladay, Utah. As an active member in Delta Eta, I served on council as the House Chairman in 2019 and Vice President Standards in the Fall of 2020. Currently, as an alumna I volunteer on the Delta Eta House board and now the SLCAA. In my free time, I love to go to concerts, go for walks, workout at F45, travel, and spend time with my friends.

Gretchen Snyder Hook

SECRETARY

I am Gretchen Snyder-Hook. I pledged Delta Eta chapter fall 2008. During my time at Kappa, I served as Events chair. Some of my favorite events I coordinated were the Murder mystery party with Sig Ep, paint fight with Sigma Nu, speed dating with Sigma Chi, and of course Casino Night Fall Formal. My favorite part of Kappa was being a part of some thing at the big university and instantly belonging and having 100 sisters that turn into lifelong best friends. Taking part in the traditions and rituals bonded us for lifetime.

I graduated in 2012 in communications and business, I currently work at Northrop Grumman as a financial analyst. I was recently married in May 2022,  in Nassau, Bahamas on the beach with my closest friends and family, including my two littles.  A few things that I enjoy doing with my time: Bowling, golf, traveling, pickle ball, softball, gardening, attending sporting events, watching game shows and last, but certainly not least, Pugs. I am excited to serve as this year‘s secretary and reconnect with those I’ve lost touch with and meet new sisters.

Sonja Spencer

Brunch Bunch

My name is Sonja Spencer. I'm a PC 16 from the Delta ETA chapter and now the Brunch Bunch chair for the Alumni! I graduated in 2020 with a Business Management degree. Since graduation, I've been working for a power tool company called TTI and I'm now the UT Regional Manager. This will also be my fourth year on the Alumni Board! Previously, I was the Chapter Liaison and Night Owl chairs. Now being the Bunch Bunch Chair I can't wait to find some fun and cute places around Utah for everyone to get together and catch up!

Holly Uphold

Holiday Sharing

Each year the Salt Lake City Alumnae Association (SLCAA) participates in the Rose McGill Holiday Sharing Program. The Holiday Sharing Program provides a support system for current Rose McGill Confidential Aid recipients during the holidays. We purchase gifts from a wish list, wrap them, and send the gifts to our recipient in order to make the holidays a happier time for those members in need.

I am a member of the Delta Eta 2005 pledge class and served as the Vice President of Standards while an active member. I have been a member of the SLCAA since I graduated in 2008. I am thankful for the relationships I built and maintained during my time as an active Kappa and now as a member of the SLCAA.

Bergen Meyer

MEMBERSHIP

I am Bergen Meyer, and my journey with Kappa has been nothing short of remarkable, unlocking a treasure trove of unforgettable experiences that have shaped me into the person I am today. From the very moment I joined, I embraced a transformative journey filled with growth, friendship, and empowerment. Within the walls of Delta Eta, I found a sisterhood that not only lifted me up in times of joy but also stood by my side through challenges, forging bonds that will withstand the test of time. Kappa Kappa Gamma has been the driving force behind my achievements. Embracing leadership positions within the chapter, I discovered the strength of my voice and the power of collaboration. Receiving the honor of being the most involved chapter member filled me with immense gratitude, as it signified the depth of my commitment to making a positive impact. Yet, my journey continues as I am pursuing a Master's Degree in Statistics, fueled by the encouragement and inspiration of Kappa Kappa Gamma. I am thankful for Kappa's flame of inspiration and I am excited to continue this journey together, leaving behind a legacy of excellence and empowering others to follow their dreams.

Kristina Wieder

CHAPTER LIASON

My experience in kappa the past four years  was an unforgettable one. While I had up-downs during the experience. I learned so much more about myself and what sisterhood truly means. After graduation in May I have been working as a nurse at a methadone clinic and enjoy it greatly. I can’t wait to start this new chapter as an alumni as well.
